They did it to raise not just awareness for PTSD but promoting our Post War Survive to Thrive Program to show there is real solutions, the community does care, and that they were willing to step up and take the initiative to help us save and change lives. We are making a huge impact in 2017 and we want you all to please share and follow our journey. If you can show your appreciation to these amazing men and women for their efforts today please help them by donating on the link below: https://www.gofundme.com/post-war-survive-to-thrive-program #ptsdawareness #ptsd #ptsdrecovery #veteran #veterans #danechristison #soldier #sailor #airmen #adf #postwarsurvivetothrive #survivetothrivenation A post shared by Survivetothrivenation (@survivetothrivenation) on Dec 30, 2016 at 4:27pm PST What an honour it was to meet 8/9RAR soldier Jai Hoffman today during the festive season. Jai has an insatiable will to see a change in the ever increasing suicide rate and transitioning issues that continues to challenge our community. Jai understood the need for our innovative Post War Survive to Thrive Program and wanted to raise money so we could deliver it immediately to those suffering. Jai Hoffman is taking a mix of soldiers and every day people wanting to make a change on a 100 SETS OF STAIRS run at Kangaroo Point on NYE (if you haven't seen the sets of stairs there it's brutal). If you want to do something with an impact to kick off 2017 please donate now to Jai and his team so we can continue to help our community survive and thrive! I was lost.. completely..utterly. I have spent the last 10 weeks trying to motivate myself to leave the house... I got to the point where I was looking for ways out of going on a free trip to the U.S for a national BBQ Competition I won back in July... I am glad to say that with the help of my long suffering wife we are about to board the plane in L.A to come home after 10 days away. This experience along with the time with my wife has been an epiphany for me... life needs to be siezed at every opportunity... challenge yourself... whenever the darkness comes, banish it with a positive experience, love yourself for you... not what you do." The allied armies had driven the German invaders back, having inflicted heavy defeats upon them over the preceding four months. In November the Germans called for an armistice (suspension of fighting) in order to secure a peace settlement. They accepted allied terms that amounted to unconditional surrender. The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month attained a special significance in the post-war years. The moment when hostilities ceased on the Western Front became universally associated with the remembrance of those who had died in the war. This first modern world conflict had brought about the mobilisation of over 70 million people and left between 9 and 13 million dead, perhaps as many as one-third of them with no known grave. The allied nations chose this day and time for the commemoration of their war deceased. Please pay your respects with one minute of silence at 11am today. #defencecare #australiandefenceforce #adf #inandoutfitnessorganisation #pts #survivetothrivenation #danechristison #ptsd #pts #veteran #veterans #transitioning #veteranlife #operationthrivingveteran #postwarsurvivetothrive #rememberenceday #lestweforget #neverforgotten A post shared by Survivetothrivenation (@survivetothrivenation) on Nov 10, 2016 at 4:10pm PST Add us on Snapchat: Survivetothrivenation
